MUNA’S STORY

Muna Omar Ghaith, a mother of eight, comes from a very poor family in the city of Hebron, where she endures challenging circumstances living among settlers. She faces significant health challenges, including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiac issues. On top of that, she was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes.

Since her diagnosis, she has been a regular patient at the St John Eye Hospital in Hebron, undergoing cataract surgery in her right eye on June 15th, 2023, and on her left eye on April 16th, 2024. Following these surgeries, her vision improved significantly.

Thanks to the generous support of the Qatar Fund for Development, the Hospital Group covered the entire cost of Muna’s cataract treatment. As a result, Muna’s vision has significantly improved, allowing her to lead a better quality of life, saying she will “never forget” what they’ve done for her.
