WHAT WE DO
Essential eye care
Our hospitals and mobile outreach teams provide vital screenings, diagnostics and treatments for conditions like cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. In 2024 alone, we treated over 175,000 patients, nearly half of whom were children – many from the most vulnerable communities
Sight-saving surgeries
Each year, our expert surgeons perform more than 5,000 complex procedures, including cataract removal, corneal transplants, and retinal surgeries. Major surgeries are carried out at our hospitals and clinics in Jerusalem, Nablus, Anabta, and Hebron

New Hospital in Nablus
Our newly opened Nablus Day Hospital features two major theatres – the first of their kind in the north of the West Bank
Tackling the Cataract backlog
In partnership with the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), we’re addressing the severe post Covid-19 cataract backlog across the West Bank and Gaza – while giving European ophthalmologists hands-on experience with complex cases in underserved areas
Strengthening our flagship Jerusalem Hospital
Expanding and upgrading facilities to meet growing demand, including the redevelopment of key clinical areas and the enhancement of outpatient services to improve patient access and experience
Low Vision Rehabilitation
Our Jerusalem clinic provides vital support for patients with permanent vision loss—offering personalised rehabilitation plans, assistive technologies, and training to help them regain independence and quality of life.
Breaking the Cycle of Preventable Blindness
Palestinians are ten times more likely to go blind than those in the West due to limited access to quality care, poverty, and genetic factors.
Tragically, 80% of blindness in the region is preventable – but many patients cannot reach us without your support.
The Patient Relief Fund
Through our Patient Relief Fund, we subsidise care for refugees, marginalised individuals, and those unable to afford treatment—ensuring that no one is turned away because of financial hardship.
